Easter in Corfu. The summer season begins at the B&B

As Greek Easter approaches, Corfu is getting a fair amount of attention primarily brought about by the 8 million strong viewer figures for ITV’s new series The Durrells. Today, reports are out that the Greek economy has delivered better than expected results, but there’s still a lot to be done. Meanwhile we’re back in Corfu for the summer season, doing the last minute tweaks and touch up’s to get the b&b ready for this year’s guests.

We’ve been fortunate to receive some great reviews and recommendations from the Travel news and Guidebooks, with mentions in Times Travel ‘Best Place to Stay‘ Telegraph Travel ‘Best Hotels in Corfu‘ (Unspoiled Corfu) and first choice of DK in their DK Eyewitness Guide to (Corfu) the Ionian islands, and when we begin the season again next week, we should return to the top of TripAdvisor as we again happily received the Travellers’ Choice Award for a second year running – thank you to all of our guests who make this all happen!

During the winter we added to our ‘behind the scenes’ improvements, having now gone 95% led, put in a water filtration system, so all guest can continue to receive complimentary filtered water in the suites and we avoid use of plastics, and we have built a substantial back up water tank to support any eventualities there too.

We look forward to meeting new guests again this year, welcoming previous guests and continuing with our efforts to keep bring Old Perithia back to life. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer and we’ll keep posting throughout the season with updates and news from the village and around the island. Mark & Saskia /
