Amenities
Each of the houses is built by hand, using local limestone, exactly the way it was 2 centuries ago. Each suite has been individually restored and is decorated with a dash of Venetian influence to mirror their past, whilst providing a contemporary level of comfort. The Merchant’s House has a Category ‘A’ rating, the equivalent of 4 stars.
Beaches
There are many beautiful beaches along the northeast coast. The closest to Old Perithia is Agios Spyridon (15 mins), others that are less than 30 mins away by car include; Kalamaki, Agios Stefanos, Kerasia, Barbati and Agni.
Activities
The wonderful location of the old village, its surrounding countryside and unpolluted sky, draw all manner of enthusiasts and experts alike. It’s ideal for walking, photography, painting, history, geology, entomology, ornithology, herpetology, botany, ecology, apiology and astrology…

The fabrics for the beds and cushions are supplied by FS Home Collections in The Netherlands, suppliers to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The traditional white Corfiot curtains are all hand-made locally.
Garden
Guests also have use of The Merchant’s House private walled garden and seating area.
Sea | Swimming Pool
As a protected heritage site, no swimming pools are permitted within or near the village, however, a selection of local beaches surrounded by azure seas are just a 15 minute drive away.
Breakfast is included, and served daily from 08.30am. The extensive menu can be seen at the back of the information pack on arrival, or in Ognistra taverna.
