The Village of Old Perithia is located in the Northeastern part of Corfu, well known to be the most unspoilt and attractive part of the island. Its countryside, traditional villages and beaches are amongst the most popular for the more discerning visitors to Corfu.

Directions

Old Perithia can be found off the coastal road, a few km’s past Kassiopi, on the way towards Acharavi and Roda. It is not so easy to find, therefore we strongly recommend you print out these directions before leaving home.

After about an hour to an hour and a half from Corfu town, you pass by the small town of Kassiopi, and approximately 10 minutes later (5-6km). Keep your eyes peeled and you will see a signpost to Loutsa|Peritheia, momentarily after, there’s a large ice cream parlour|café (Ice Dreams) to your right with a giant ‘ice cream cone’ on its roof, and a peach walled entrance opposite on your left. This is where you turn up to Old Perithia.

Soon after you have turned, follow the road round to the left at the first fork. You will drive through New Perithia and past a few shops and café’s. Keep following the road and after about 3km you’ll next pass through Loutses – look for signs to Old Perithia along the way.

Soon after Loutses you will see two signs ahead, one left to Anapaftiria and one ahead to Ano (upper) Perithia - continue straight ahead towards Ano Perithia!

You now follow a winding road, with a number of sharp bends and going from slightly rough road into tarmac farther on. Stay on the tarmac road when you reach it and you will weave your way into the approach to Old Perithia, with its distinct pink church ahead and to the left, signaling that you are now at the top of the village and have arrived at Old Perithia.

By car from Corfu airport: approximately 50km 1 - 1½ hours, but allow 1½ - 2 hours. Please be aware that during the peak summer months the roads can be quite busy, and as they are often narrow, are also slow - but you’ll enjoy the sea views along the way!
